Ghanaian counselor, Counselor Adofoli has urged social media users never to let their weakness be a limitation to them.

He made this known in a recent post he made on his Facebook page which he titled, YOUR WEAKNESS IS NOT YOUR LIMIT.

The post he made reads;

“In my country, people value certificates than impact, people put money above lives. We respect the wealthy and look down on the poor, we celebrate thieves and laugh at the honest. We serve the public servants instead of they serving the citizens or the country.

Young people are buying passion and skills instead of finding their passion and gifts. People are buying success instead of making it. Everything is about money and certificates.

People are in schools for certification and not for the knowledge. People occupy positions by their qualifications and not by their competency. We are getting to a place that friendship and association is going to be a matter of certificate. Without a Masters or PhD you cannot be friends with some people or belong to some groups.

If you ever compare yourself to others, you might look inadequate or not measuring up. I have learnt to take pride in my weaknesses and I don’t feel bad talking about it for the scripture says in our weakness the Lord shows His strength.

Many of the people God used had weaknesses in one or two things but the presence of God in their lives made them do the extraordinary.

Moses had an issue with Anger but God saw him as the meekest on the earth.
Gideon believed he was the least qualified and the least in his family, but God saw him as the mighty man in his Nation and used him to do mighty things.

David was a lowly shepherd in the father’s house but God saw him as Israel’s greatest king and used him as such.

Paul was an enemy to the people who followed Christ and the things of Christ, but God saw in him the biggest missionary and used him as such.

When Abraham saw himself as a man who will not have a child at his age, God called him father of nations for that is who He made him.

This evidence shows that, it is not what you see in you but what God has placed in you. Sometimes when we look at ourselves, what we see are our weaknesses and not the greatness God placed in us.

You don’t have to let your weakness limit you. You don’t have to let what you think you can’t do or don’t have limit you. For you have God who has everything and everything is possible with Him.
I might not have the certificate others have or the highest education but I am grateful to God for the impact I am making in the lives of humanity. I might not have the money or properties they have but I am thankful for the lives I touch on a daily basis. I might not have the power, position and influence they have in society but I have God and I am thankful for that.

We need to embrace our weakness and not to portray to society that you have it all together or you are perfect. You don’t need to lie to be accepted for if you do, that becomes your reality.
Whatever you are lacking you can boast in the Lord and talk to Him. Don’t be shy about your weakness, negatives or minuses or your demerit, for God is specialized in handling them. Just talk to Him about everything.

In conclusion “But the Lord said, “My grace is all you need. Only when you are weak can everything be done completely by my power.” So I will gladly boast about my weaknesses. Then Christ’s power can stay in me. Yes, I am glad to have weaknesses if they are for Christ. I am glad to be insulted and have hard times. I am glad when I am persecuted and have problems, because it is when I am weak that I am really strong” – 2 Corinthians 12:9-11 (ERV).”
