A newborn baby has received a lifetime ticket to fly in Egypt Air after she was born while in the air, The Independent reports.

The Egypt Air was enroute from Cairo to London but there was an emergency landing after the fresh mother, Hiyam Nasr Naji Daaban realized labour ahead.

Egypt Air pilot made a sharp diversion to Munich, Germany so as to reach the hospital in time for the child’s delivery.

However, all attempts to arrive in Munich before the delivery proved futile as Hiyam Nasr delivered the baby before the aircraft landed.

Luckily, there was a Doctor onboard the flight who help in making sure the child arrived safely.

In a tweet seen by TUKO.co.ke, the pilot Rushdi Zakaria who is also the chairman of the Holding Company for Egypt congratulated the patient and granted the new born a free lifetime travel ticket.

“The pilot, Rushdi Zakaria, Chairman of the Holding Company for Egypt, congratulated the passenger Hiyam Nasr Naji Daaban, a Yemeni national, for her safety and granting her newborn a free lifetime travel ticket, which she gave birth on board the plane during the Egypt Air flight yesterday from Cairo to London,”

The chairman of the Board of Directors of Misr Aviation Company revealed in a tweet that they presented the newborn with a souvenir to celebrate with her family.

“It is our pleasure to receive a new customer to Egypt to fly to the world onboard our plane and we are also pleased to present her with a souvenir to celebrate with her family and to give her a free ticket for life on Munich flights,” read the tweet.
