Lawrence Ikegwuruka Obinna, 27, and his wife, Malagasy Michaella Agustine, 23, both Nigerains, have been arrested and detained by Joint Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and Philippine National Police operatives.

The couple were caught with 10kilograms of methamphetamine worth PHP68 million (about N489million) from two suspects in a buy-bust operation in Quezon City on Tuesday.

Chief of the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO), Maj. Gen. Debold Sinas said, the couples have been under surveillance for continuous three month. Their perimeter and activities were monitored by the police to be and finally, they’ve arrested.

According to Naijapals.com, the couple be face non-bailable charges for trafficking and possession of dangerous drugs under Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.: PDEA
