A young Nigerian woman called Saadat Aliyu has developed an android application called ‘Helpio App’ to people who are abused sexually.

According to the Kano-Born Fulani lady, the app is used for reporting sexual abuse cases.

On August 6, 2020, the android app was launched on Playstore. Ms Saadat who also happens to be the founder of Shamrock Innovation, Women and Youth-Centric Tech Innovation Hub told Channels TV that the app is available on the store.

“You can go to the Play store, search for it and install it. After installation, you can sign up using email and password either in Hausa or English language,”

“So far the Initiative for Support of Victims of Sexual abuse, Orphans and Less privileged (ISSOL) and Equity Destitute, Child Right and Welfare initiative (EDCRAWI) have signed up in the platform.”
