Twitter is currently buzzing with #JusticeForIzu after a young Nigerian man identified on Twitter as Legend Izu Madubueze allegedly committed suicide after he was accused by a Twitter influencer named Nanichi Anese of rape along with some other men.
Reports say that Izu confr onted Nanichi on Twitter, asking her to mention the name of whoever she claimed he raped but Nanichi refused and said that the supposed victim chose to remain anonymous.
Izu continued to confront Nanichi in order to clear his name from this allegation but she declined.
He later left a suicidal note on Twitter saying that he does not know what he has done to be accused of hurting anyone.
“Oh and if you’re reading this, I’m dead lol,” reads his last tweet on Friday 17th July 2020.
Eventually, Izu took his own life, and the accuser, Nanichi has also deleted her account from Twitter after Izu’s death was made public.
Older chats from Izu’s phone allegedly show that Nanichi had asked him out before but he declined.
