Two people have been arrested by the Accra Regional Police Command for disrupting the voter registration in Accra along with seven other accomplices who tried to free them after the arrest.

According to a statement released by the Ghana Police Service on Sunday, 12 July 2020, the two people whose names are yet to be known were captured wielding machetes at the on-going registration at the E.P Church registration center in Accra New Town.

Upon their arrest, seven of their colleagues crossed the Police patrol vehicle in an attempt of freeing them.

However, the policemen were able to overpower them and apprehended all nine people. They being arraigned for court on Monday, 13 July 2020.
