2020 has been a rough year for Nollywood as it has witnessed some shocking deaths of actors who paid their dues to the uplifting of the movie industry.

We are gradually beginning to lose grip of some experienced veteran actors who have paid their dues and made their lasting impact. Nollywood lost two veterans Louisa Nwobodo and Jimoh Aliu within the space of a week in the month of September.

The month of September has been a crazy month in Nollywood as actress Louisa Nwobodo died on Sunday, September 13 while Jimoh Aliu also joined the ancestors on September 17, 2020 with just four days apart from their deaths.

1.Jennifer omole

The actress was based in Spain where she died and was buried.

Ogbode broke the news of her death in an Instagram post. It read as, “On 3rd January My Dearest Friend @jenniferomole Passed On. I’m Hurting Deep In My Heart but Only God Knows Best. Pls Say A Rest In Peace Prayer for My Girl 🙏🙏🙏.

2.Emilia Dike

Emelia  met her death when fell and died on Wednesday, 21st May 2020, in Enugu state.

3.Chizoba Boye

Chiboza palyeed a role in Tinsel and acted in a lot of other Nolllywood movies. She died on May 10th, 2020.

4.Louisa Nwobodo

Veteran Nollywood actress, Louisa Nwobodo passed on after she slumped in her car at St. Mulumbas Catholic Church, New Haven, Enugu on Sunday, September 13. She died at age 78.

5. Jimoh Aliu

Veteran actor Jimoh Aliu died at the Ekiti State Teaching Hospital, Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State capital on Thursday. He died at the ripe age of 86. Before his death, he was a former President of the Association of Nigeria Theatre Practitioners (ANTP). He produced and starred in a lot of Yoruba movies.
