Some aggrieved supporters and delegates of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) in Asante Juaben Constituency of the Ashanti region, have staged a demonstration at Noboam to register their displeasure against the national executives of the party over alleged disqualification of aspirant Francis Owusu- Akyaw in the upcoming Parliamentary Primaries.
Second National Vice Chairman of the party, Fredrick Freduah Antoh on Thursday 4th June, 2020, announced on Abusua FM political stalk programme ‘Ghana Amamuo’ that some aspirants have been disqualified from the primaries, a decision the angry supporters say is unconstitutional hence forcing them to stage a peace protest in the constituency.
The supporters first converged at the Naboam community soccer Park before they moved in their numbers to the Nuno River to invoke curses on the national executives for being unfair to their aspirants.
The group after the demonstration, will address the media on Friday 5th June, 2020.
