The prosecution in the case in which Benjamin Okyere, a tenant of Nana Kankam who was murdered has said it is waiting for the advice of the Attorney General’s (AG) Department on the case docket.
In court on Monday, the prosecutor, Inspector Stephen Ahialey told the court that, the autopsy result was ready but they waiting for the AGs advice on docket.
The atmosphere of the Abeka District Court which has become a subject of noise and disturbances from friends and sympathisers of the late Okyere, was different on Monday.
The usual drumming and shouting that have been associated with the case was missing following the court warning previously.
Few family members and friends of the late Okyere who appeared in court, showed comportment following a stern warning from the coirt that, they would be arrested prosecuted should the persist to disturb the court.
A member of the family Madam Cecilia explained that they have respect for the court and so urged their members to remain calm.
She also said the late Okyere was burried at his hometown last Saturday.
The prosecutor told the court they have forwarded the Autopsy report and the docket to AG for advice.
Judge salutes
The Magistrate prior to adjourning the case thanked and praised the family for adhering to her orders, while urging them to have patience, as the is now waiting for the AG’s advice for them to know what happens next.
The case adjourned to July 20, 2020.
