Nigerian Hiphop artiste, Olamide Baddo was born 15th March, 1989 in Bariga, Lagos State in Nigeria and was named Olamide Adedeji. He attended Tai Solarin University Of Education.
he discovered his talent for music in 2000 and finally decided to pursue it. Even though people think didn’t understand his decision to be a musician but Olamide said to his critics is his life to make music.
Olamide was signed to Coded Tunes Records where he released his song ”Eni Duro” in 2010. He rose to prominence after release of ”Eni Duro” which became the talk of the town after its release. This brought him several opportunities in the music indutsry where he was invited to perform at the Hiphop World Awards.
His manager at Coded Tunes, Tony Payne worked hand in hand with him and again dropped his debut studio album ”Rapsodi”
Olamide in 2012 left his former employers, Coded Tunes to set up his own record label Yahoo Boy No Laptop Nation popularly know as YBNL Nation. It was under YBNL Nation where Olamide released his second studio album titled ”YBNL” which had smash hit songs like ”Voice Of The Street”, ”First Of All” ”Stupid Love” and others. Acts like Davido, Tiwa Savage, Reminisce and other Nigerian artiste were featured on the album.
His third studio album ”Baddest guy Ever Liveth” was released on November 2013. But before his third studio album, Olamide set a record as the first Nigerian musician to sign an endorsement deal with Ciroc.
DB Records according to reports had wanted to sign him but Olamide in an interview disclosed he was to big to be signed to a record label.
On February 18th 2020, Olamide disclosed the good news to his fans after signing a joint venture deal with Empire and as a matter of fact all other artiste on YBNL Nation benefited from the deal.
