Ghana’s Minister for Youth and Sports Minister, Mustapha Ussif has finally confirmed who will be leading the Black Stars as head coach at the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
According to him, Otto Addo will be named as the head coach of the senior national team very soon and this comes after an earlier submission by the director of communications of the Ghana Football Association.
He made this known while speaking in an interview on Asempa FM’s flagship Ekosii Sen program on Monday, May 9.
According to Mustapha Ussif, the Ghana Football Association (GFA) will soon make the announcement.
In his submission, he said;
“We [Sports Ministry] are working with the GFA to hire Otto Addo and his technical team. We are at the final stages and I’m sure the GFA will make an announcement soon.”
The Black Stars of Ghana find themselves in Group H together with Portugal, South Korea, and Uruguay.
