Political activist, Kwame Asare Obeng, aka A-Plus has released another ‘political bomb’ after he reacted to an interview to PC Appiah Ofori statement that he had wanted to be appointed the Special Prosecutor when the office was created under the NPP administration.

PC Ofori Appiah, a former New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament for the Asikuma-Odoben-Brakwa Constituency recently told TV3 in an interview that he lobbied for the position to no avail. He said he was shocked the President never paid attention to him. when he asked for the appointment.

He said: “Either he has blocked my line or changed his line. If I call him it doesn’t go [through]. I personally petitioned Akufo-Addo that I wanted to be sent to the board if the [Office of] Special Prosecutor so that I will become the investigator but no response from him. I wrote the letter as soon as the Special Prosecutor was appointed. I just wanted to go there to investigate all these Auditor General’s reports. Some of the Auditor General’s reports are not comprehensive enough.”

But reacting to this on his Facebook page, A-Plus said the President is hell-bent on protecting his corrupt appointees so he will never accept PC Appiah Ofori at the Special Prosecutor’s office. He said, “Akufo Addo will not put you on the board because he knows you will expose his sakawa people”.
