Hon. Mai Mala Buni, the governor of Yobe State, congratulated President Buhari for the “substantial improvement in the security situation in the North-East, particularly in Yobe State.”

People in the North East, according to Buni, can now sleep with their eyes closed.

When speaking at the 2022 Annual Machina Cultural Festival on Sunday, January 16, the governor praised the President for bringing peace to the North-East.

The big and peaceful crowd that observed the cultural fair, according to Buni, was proof that the security situation had improved. He expressed gratitude to President Muhammadu Buhari for providing the necessary resources to the security forces in order to protect lives and property in the country.

“As a result of this, the people in the north eastern part of the country can now sleep with their two eyes closed. In case there is still anybody in doubt, this large congregation at this event is enough proof that the security situation has improved” Buni said
