Ghanaian actress, Lydia Forson, has shared her thoughts on the catchphrase that many people use that gives her so much discomfort.

In a recent tweet by her, Lydia Forson lamented that she finds this line ‘‘Can I be your friend?’ extremely creepy and she feels the people who often use that line have an ulterior motive.

However, she underlined the fact that this may not always be the case but it always made her uncomfortable. Reacting to her tweet, some Instagram users alluded that there is nothing wrong if a person wants to know his or stand in the other person’s life.

On the other hand…I find it straight to the point and honest. The person likes u and ur vibes and wants to be ur friend. Consider it advance warning or statement of intent. I’m straight forward n like people who are too. No mind games.
