Yusuf Abubakar, 51 and Lawali Alitu, 40 have been nabbed by the Baysela State Police Command after they were accused of stealing phones in Yenagao. 23 android phones were found in their possession.
According to reports, there has been series of phone robbery in the state capital by armed youth. SP Asinim Butswat, the Police Public Relations Officer of the Bayelsa State Command in a statement said that the two suspects were arrested on 14 March 2021 while they were transporting the phones to Kano State in a Toyota Hiace Bus with Reg No. DUT 37 ZB.
The statements read “The Commissioner of Police Bayelsa State Command, CP Mike Okoli, calls on members of the public whose phones were stolen recently, to contact the Police Command for possible identification and recovery”
