Police have successfully secured an interim injunction against an intended  demonstration to be organised by aggrieved customers of MenzGold to mark the two years anniversary of the collapse of gold dealership company.

The Coalition of Aggrieved Customers of Menzgold are said to be championing this agenda which has seen Inspector-General of Police (IGP) James Oppong-Boanuh filed an injunction to prevent the event from coming on.

“It is hereby ordered that the respondents, the Coalition of Aggrieved Customers of Menzgold Ghana, Isaac Nyarko and Fred Forson are hereby restrained from the intended demonstration to commemorate two years of the collapse of Menzgold Company,” the injunction document signed by Justice of the High Court, Stephen Oppong directed.


The Coalition of Aggrieved MenzGold Customers earlier this urged government to include them in released funds intended for the customers of some collapsed financial institutions.
