On Wednesday, January 20, a hot chase between the police and suspected internet fraudsters led to the killing of a nursing mother and her baby in Warri, Delta State.
According to reports, the police van rammed into the tricycle at PTI junction in Effurun and the officers were said to be linked to the Ebrumede police station.
The spokesman of the Delta State Police Command affirmed the incident saying investigations are already underway. However, the angry youth at the scene set the police van ablaze and mounted road blocks following the miserable happening.
