A member of the Abia State Taskforce Board of Internal Revenue identified as Ifeanyi Kalu has been killed by a police officer who opened fire on them at a fast-food restaurant, injuring another official.
The incident which happened on the 7th of July 2020 killed the revenue official instantly and wounded another official, causing the others to run for safety.
An eyewitness gave an account that a driver of the fast-food restaurant called the policemen and said that their bus had been driven away by the taskforce. The policemen immediately arrived at the restaurant with AK-47 and started shooting at the officials and the bullet hit Ifeanyi and the other official.
He also added; “Both of them have been taken to the hospital. Many people are running for safety and the Crunches office has been shut down.”
