The road to 2020 election is gradually getting started as voters are testing which candidate is right for the higher officer or to maintain President Nana Akufo-Addo for the next four years to complete the eight years circle.

Ghanaians were hit with a shocking announcement by businessman and philanthropist, HRH Oscar Yao Doe today through a public post on his social media pages. He publicly declared his willingness to support the National Democratic Congress (NDC). Prior to this, he gave a glimpse of his pending decision when NDC’s flagbearer John Mahama turned sixty-one, HRH Doe wished him a happy birthday with a heartwarming message, indicating his willingness to grab a seat with Mahama to discuss his vision for the country.

It is not clear whether HRH Doe’s recent decision to lean towards the NDC is as a result of the meeting with Mahama or the meeting is yet to be held.

Furthermore, the latest public post in which HRH Doe announced his decision for the NDC, he stated that he will continue to wish President Nana Akufo-Addo whom he has supported since 2007 all the best, but he arrived at the decision to move to the NDC based on the principle for the future.

He has, however, stated that he make his final announcement in early 2020.
