The head of the Roman Catholic Church, Pope Francis has revealed that he supports same-sex marriages.
According to him, anyone who wants to be in such a union should be covered by civil union law. He made this known in a recent documentary dubbed, Francesco, that was aired in Rome today, October 21.
The documentary speaks about the Pope’s life and ministry as well as his role on social issues including LGBTQ rights.
This was revealed by the Catholic News Agency and in the documentary, he said;
“Homosexuals have a right to be a part of the family. They’re children of God and have a right to a family. Nobody should be thrown out, or be made miserable because of it.”
