Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari finally addressed Nigerians for the first time since the outbreak of coronavirus. Apparently the President was forced to do this after his detractors called him out for failing as a leader to make a comment since Covid-19 broke out in some parts of Nigeria and the world at large.

On Sunday- March 22, 2020 a short video surfaced on the internet which saw Buhari telling Nigerians how his government is curbing the menace.

“We are working with the Federal Ministry of Health on protecting our citizens from #COVID-19. As a government, this is now a key priority for us.

“I therefore enjoin you to ensure that adequate medical provisions and other welfare requirements are afforded,” he said before the clip abruptly ended.

However, the highlight of the short clip was when the President failed to pronounce covid-19 properly by calling it ‘civik 1-9.’
