R2Bees, one of Africa’s biggest Afrobeats group has finally shared their hugely anticipated studio album labeled; “Back To Basics”.
The latest body of work comes up after the successful release of Omar Sterling’s ‘Same Earth Different Worlds‘ album which was dropped in June. “Back To Basics” happens to be their fourth studio album.
The new installment comes in a package of 15 mind blowing and exceptional tunes with contributions from Legacy Life Entertainmnet’s, King Promise, BHIM Nation president, Stonebwoy, Flip The Music first lady, Gyakie, La Meme Gang’s prodigy, Darkovibes, 2021 Grammy Award nominee, Wizkid, Banku Music head, Mr Eazi and Nigerian rave of the moment, Joeboy.
Before the project ‘Back To Basics’ arrived, R2Bees had already released ‘Eboso‘ and ‘Fine Wine‘ which were both taken from the album. Production credits goes to Killbeatz, Northboi, Highlander Beats, VacksOnIt, Kunie, DJ Breezy, DJ Afrolektra, Guiltybeatz, DJ Obrien, KyeiRocks, Nektunez, Streetbeatz and Dera.
R2Beess are arguably the biggest music duo in Ghana and Africa at large since the release of ‘I Dey Mad’ and ‘Yawa Girl’ in 2008, which became instant hits and fan favorites. The duo consists of two cousins, Faisal Hakeem popularly called Omar Sterling and Rashid Mugeez also known as Mugeez.
