The wife of Springbok captain Siya Kolisi, Rachel, has taken to her Instagram account to open up about how she rejected a campaign after being informed to wear more make-up to look professional.

The mother of two is a pure advocate of natural beauty even though she wears make-up sometimes. Rachel was having none of it when an organization told her to wear-make up before she can feature in a campaign.

Taking to her Instagram account she wrote: “I recently pulled myself off a campaign because the brand requested “I have a more professional look and wear make-up” 😂

She then shared her two cent on the matter by saying:

“I think girls who get up and spend time putting make-up on are beautiful! I think girls who wake up and don’t put make-up on are beautiful too!”

“In a world where, a lot of people are trying to be something they’re not, be you. We need more of that.

Sue Duminy, wife of retired cricketer JP Duminy wrote; “I once had feedback from a well-known brand [which] described my content as ‘creepy’…oh how much fun we could have if we name and shame businesses.

Other celebrities including Unathi Nkayi and Roxy Burger also added their voice to the topic.
