Accra based radio station Radio Gold is celebrating it’s 25th anniversary despite the Government of Ghana shutting down the facility a couple of years ago.

The radio station was one of the many radio stations which was shut down by the Ministry of Communication and the Ghana Revenue Authority over some accumulated unpaid taxes for a very long time.

The station which is rumored to by owned 31st December Women’s Movement (an organization formed from the National Democratic Congress) via their Twitter page captioned their post “The government closed down our station but that has not stopped us from turning 25 years today”
