An application filed by Ramalan Yero, Kaduan State Governor has been dismissed by a Federal High Court sitting in Kaduna, presided over by Justice Z.B Abubakar on the basis of return of his International Passport.

It could be recollected that during the course of investigations into the ex-governor’s moves, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) seized Yero’s passport.

Yunus Ustaz, Ramalan’s counsel in his appeal pleaded with the court to release his International Passport which expires in September 2020.

J. A. Ojobane from the EFCC advised the court not to grant the application adding that there was no excuse for considering the requests of the defendant.

Ojobane reminded the court that the submission of the Passport formed part of the terms upon which the bail was granted the defendant.

On November 28, 2018, the defendant was indicted as he had a hand in Diezani Alison Madueke’s bribery and money laundering saga.
