‘Real Madrid Are Missing Ronaldo’s GOALS’- Messi Admits

Lionel Messi has modestly admitted his eternal rival Cristiano Ronaldo’s absence in Real Madrid has depleted the team and taken a lustre away from the Spanish League.

The Argentinean and Barcelona captain who, together with Cristiano Ronaldo are considered the world’s finest footballers of all time, had their age long rivalry diminished two years go when Ronaldo made a shock move from Real Madrid Italian giants, Juventus.

Since then, Real Madrid has not been badly hit as their firepower and fear factor deserted them which saw the sacking of Julen Lopetegui as manager after four and a half months in charge at the Bernabeu until Zinedine Zidane came to calm the waters a bit.

Commenting on the situation to Mundo Deportivo, a Spanish newspaper in an interview, Lionel Messi said Ronaldo personified Real Madrid and now that he’s not there, they cannot be the same again.
