Legendary Ghanaian rapper, Reggie Rockstone has incurred the wrath of Black Sherif fans after he remarked that the alleged contract signed by Black Sherif with Empire Entertainment was the worst deal ever.
Speaking in an interview on Hitz FM, Reggie Rockstone revealed that the late DJ Rab wanted to speak to Black Sherif personally about his alleged deal with Empire Entertainment until his untimely demise.
According to the Hiplife Grandpapa, the late DJ Rab who passed away a few days ago told him that Black Sherif’s deal with Empire Entertainment is the worst deal ever and very evil.
“Per my last conversation with DJ Rab, he told me that, Black Sherif’s recent deal was the worse deal ever. It’s so evil that Black Sherif wouldn’t even do that to himself. He planned to speak with Blacko on that. Now he is no more”, Reggie said.
Reggie Rockstone’s comments about the trap singer have triggered an uprising among fans of Black Sherif and they have duly castigated him on social media.
Some said his era when he was on top and calling the shots in the music industry has passed thus he has nothing to offer to the game today.
Reacting to this, Olele Salvador, real name Emmanuel Sarpong, an entertainment journalist refuted these claims saying the musician has only signed the deal with the distributing wing of Empire Entertainment in order for his songs to be marketed on the global market.
“What Black Sherif is alleged to have signed with the distribution wing of EMPIRE, is simply the licensing of his songs and the distribution to various markets globally. So No, he hasn’t “sold his life” away. LOL”, Olele wrote on Twitter.
Meanwhile, Black Sherif released an official statement about the ongoing brouhaha, saying issues are being addressed between both parties.
