The story was shared by the renowned Ghanaian media personality, Nana Aba Anamoah on her verified social media handle on the popular social media platform, Twitter.

At the moment, Ghana is currently trying to curb illegal mining and this is due to the fact that the activity has caused more harm than good.

Many lives have been lost, and water bodies and farmlands have been destroyed. This has really affected human lives in the country.

Before this incident, there were widespread claims that some government officials are actively involved in illegal mining.

The president in a recent submission indicated that anyone who has evidence that some of his appointed government officials are involved in the act should bring it up.

Recently, there was a leaked tape that captured one of the DCEs publicly revealing that he is into illegal mining and this has led to his suspension.
