She was readmitted to the mental health care hospital. Kiersten’s dad Lee was granted temporary custody of his kids after acquiring a temporary restraining order, so as to protect his kids. The restraining order was dropped a day before Debra was discharged from the hospital giving her access to her kids without any restrictions.
On the 5th of June 2009, a bloody incident happened after Debra opted to see her kids and spend some time with them. On meeting their mom at where she stays, Debra drove her two kids to an abandoned résidence on Interstate 77 in Milford.
The heartless mother inflicted pain on her children by attacking them starting with her eldest child Kiersten, stabbing her with a knife. Kiersten tried to save her little sister by yelling for her to run, but her mom caught her little daughter’s attention and transferred the attack on her, stabbing sensitive parts of her body till she died, whilst Kiersten also lay there fighting for her life. Derby reported the crime to the police by calling them.
Eventually, Debra was found guilty of attempting to murder Kiersten and murdering Kesley and was sentenced to life imprisonment on May 27, 2010. Kiersten survived the attack metered on her by her mom through stabbing. She’s alive but completely lives her life out of the public eye.
