Television Personality Serwaa Amihere with EIB Network has fired back at some people who limit the achievement of women to marriage.
African mostly have a perception about unmarried women in the society and also tend to put pressure on women to marry especially when the person is crossing her menopausal age or late thirties.
Some people have tagged marriage as the biggest achievement in the lives of women but broadcast journalist Serwaa Amihere has lashed out the society and has vehemently disagreed that a woman’s success is climaxed with marriage.
In her recent tweet, she wrote…..” Society has made marriage appear to be the greatest achievement for women!”.
Serwaa Amihere disclosed that she will be very happy to get married but she wouldn’t be pressured by the society to get married and has urged everyone to respect her achievement irrespective of her marital status.
“Its sad. I mean it and i want to get married but lets not make it look like women who aren’t married haven’t accomplished anything” she stated.
