According to popular lawyer, Lawyer Maurice Ampaw, some appointees sighted for corrupt practices in the ruling government are earnestly trying hard to block the special prosecutor, Martin Amidu from investigating them.
He further claimed that, it is not only the NPP who are blocking Mr. Amidu’s chance but also the largest opposition party, NDC is also doing same.
Sources claim that there are about 26 cases currently receiving attention at the Office of the Special Prosecutor.
The reports further disclosed that the list includes opposition figures like former President John Mahama and government appointees under the Akufo-Addo administration such as Board Chair of the Ghana National Petroleum Company and national chairman of the governing NPP Freddie Blay.
