Reports from Sefwi Bekwai in the Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai District indicate that a trainee nurse having her clinical internship with Greenshield Hospital has been abducted and sekzually abused by her ex-boyfriend.
The incident took place on Saturday, June 8, 2019, with the police revealing that the 21-year-old second year Nursing Student of KAAF University in Kasoa was on her way home after duty when the incident happened.
According to an official complaint lodged at the police station, relatives disclosed that they tried calling her on phone but she picked and from the background, she was heard crying raising their suspicion that something was not well.
Moments after call, the phone was switched off making them feel very convinced about what they had earlier thought.
On Sunday, June 9, 2019, the police visited the family house of the victim and met her with her family.
When they saw her, they noticed that she had a swollen face with other severe bruises.
She told the police that when she closed from work at the Greenshield Hospital and was about to return home she received a call from her former boyfriend identified as one Frederick Kwame Acquah, 26 who wanted to meet her at Sefwi Atronsu.
She disclosed that she met with suspect Frederick Kwame Acquah at Atronsu and he took her to Justice Guest House where he assaulted her mercilessly and took her phone from her and forcibly had several sekzual intercourses with her.
However, the suspect currently on the run for detained her against her will, and raping her as well.
The police have subsequently mounted a search for the suspect and a medical report form has been issued to the victim to attend hospital.
