A social media user identified as Citizen Yao has said that the recent attitude displayed by Ghanaian reggae artist Samini doesn’t depict the lives of a Rastafarian.

In about thirty days from today, Ghanaians will decide who to rule the country in the next four years ahead. Some celebrities and well-known personalities have endorsed political parties and have urged Ghanaians to vote for these political parties they have endorsed.

Sarkodie’s new song “Happy day” which features Kuami Eugene seems to be an endorsement song for the NPP due to some phrases used in the song. Samini on the other hand did a full campaign album for the NPP which he named “Kpoyaka”. In his songs, he addressed the successes of the current president and his party and encouraged Ghanaians to vote for Nana Addo again.

However, a guy on Facebook called Citizen Yao has condemned the political support Samini has given to the NPP. According to him, Rastafarians don’t speak or engage in politics.
