Sammy Gyamfi for all we know has been a name most Ghanaians can relate with in terms of politics. He is the National Communication Officer for the biggest opposition party, National Democratic Congress.
Born on 28th March, 1989 and hails from Wamfie in the Bono region but lived most of his life in Sunyani and Kumasi.
He attended St. James Seminary Secondary School in Sunyani and later proceeded to Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).
Politics & Career
His love for active Politics started during his education stay on the campus of KNUST. According to Sammy Gyamfi his love for politics started when he was mostly around members of New Patriotic Party whiles disecting political issues until according to him he felt discrimination among the NPP which made him switch to NDC student group TEIN.
Due to his in-depth knowledge about political and social issues, Sammy Gyamfi won the hearts of members of TEIN-KNUST which furthered got him elected as the TEIN KNUST president in the year 2011-2012.
In 2012, Sammy Gyamfi was appointed by then-Mayor of Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly, Mr. Kojo Bonsu as his spokesperson and public relations officer for the Kumasi Metropolitan area.
He also was the Communications Director of Ibrahim Mahama’s Exton Cubic Mining Group.
In 2018, Sammy Gyamfi was voted as NDC’s National Communication Officer in November 2018 beating his contender Fred Agbenyo.
Sammy Gyamfi not only is a communication officer but also is a lawyer by profession.
