Sandie Rinaldo Husband: Did Sandie Rinaldo get married? – Sandie Rinaldo, born on January 16, 1950, is a prominent Canadian television journalist and anchor for CTV News.

She was born in Toronto and gained initial exposure on television as a dancer in the 1960s on CBC Television youth programs like Where It’s At. Rinaldo completed her Honours Bachelor of Arts in Fine Arts from York University in 1973.

Shortly after graduating, Rinaldo joined the news division of CTV Television Network. She started as a junior secretary to Donald Cameron, the director of news, and gradually worked her way up to become a production manager and researcher for W5.

She also reported for CTV National News and Canada AM. In 1980, Rinaldo made history by becoming the first woman in Canada to hold a full-time position as a national news anchor when she became the anchor for the newscasts on Canada AM.

Notably, she once interviewed Bob Marley during his visit to Canada on tour. Reflecting on the interview years later, Rinaldo admitted that she regretted some of the questions she asked, stating, “I wish I could do it again, because there were a lot of questions I asked that I probably shouldn’t have at the time.”

In 1985, Rinaldo took on the role of weekend anchor for CTV National News, which she has held ever since, except for a brief period from 1990 to 1991 when she co-anchored the local World Beat News with Tom Gibney on CFTO, the network’s Toronto affiliate.

Following the retirement of longtime weekday anchor Lloyd Robertson in 2011, Rinaldo has served as a substitute anchor for his successor, Lisa LaFlamme, on the main weekday national newscast.

Additionally, since 2009, she has been anchoring CTV News Channel on three weekday afternoons. Since 2010, Rinaldo has also been a co-host of W5 and a contributing reporter.

In 2023, Rinaldo celebrated her 50th anniversary of working for CTV. To commemorate this milestone, the network aired a one-hour retrospective special on May 12, highlighting her illustrious career.
