Ghanaian rapper, Michael Owusu Addo, well known as Sarkodie has taken to his social media to mourn the departure of Michael Kofi Asiamah, a 13-year-old boy who was suffering from a brain tumor.

Recall, Sarkodie donated an amount of $10,000 along with some other concerned Ghanaians for the treatment of Michael’s condition but unfortunately, he died after the surgery.
Michael was reported to have passed on at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital yesterday, 9th April after the operation was successful.
The news was broken by his mother, Cordelia Ama Serlomey on Facebook as many social media users react with sorrows.
She wrote; Where do I start? How do I tell it?The pain is so overwhelming…the tears, uncontrollable.We walked into Korlebu a few weeks ago as mother and son.My only son…My deepest affection.The best and most important thing that ever happened to me.My best friend and partner for the past 13 years!Micheal why?We did everything we could.Michael had his surgery and it was very successful. He was talking, eating and making a beautiful recovery. We were happy…but that joy was earlier this evening, in less than 20 minutes just snatched away…Michael had finished eating and was being prepped for bed by the attendees. He complained of a pain in the chest and just like that, my baby was gone!My Michael is gone.They won’t even mention his name no more. He has a number now.I will walk out of this hospital alone….Go home alone…This is hard!But all the same I came to thank you again. At least when we came to you for help, you didn’t hold back. Michael is grateful. I am very grateful.Thank you.I’ll hold on to the few good memories we made in his short time on earth and continue to pray that the sun shines tomorrow.
Sarkodie reacted to the sad news by saying he had an effective conversation with Michael and he was full of energy which gave him hopes of his coming back but God had a different plan.
He wrote; We spoke on the phone and your fierce energy gave me Hope you definitely coming back but I guess God had different plans … Rest well Michael
