Apparently, Sarkodie is a passionate Black Stars supporter, and during the match against the Atlas Lions of Morocco in the Group C opener of the ongoing AFCON 2022, the rapper’s support for the team was in a full swing.
In a video shared by TV3 on Instagram, Sarkodie was seen urging the players on and screaming when the Moroccans were making dangerous incursions into the Ghanaian half.
It was during one of those dangerous moves that they got their solitary goal of the game via Sofiane Boufal in the 83rd minute. Watch the video of Sarkodie watching the game and his reactions to the output of the team.
Prior to the crunch game, Black Stars Captain Andre Dede Ayew assured the nation that every player who wears the national team jersey at the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations will sweat to the last drop.
“Whatever happens, we will die till the end,” he said at the pre-match press conference. “We will die on the pitch.” Meanwhile, Ghana plays Gabon and Comoros Island on January 18 and 18 respectively.
