President Muhammadu Buhari has stated that the security situation in the country’s north-west area has overwhelmed him.
On Thursday, January 27, the President addressed this in the palace of Sultan of Sokoto, Sa’ad Abubakar.
Buhari, who highlighted that the security situation in the north-east and south-south has improved since he took office, insisted that his administration is doing all possible. He further stated that the military and law enforcement officials have been told that no bandit or terrorist will be spared.
According to the President,
“Every day, we are worried about what is happening in the north-west. When we came, if Nigerians are to be fair to us, they know the condition in the north-east and the south-south, but what is happening now in the north-west is what has honestly overwhelmed me.
“The same people, the same culture, killing each other, stealing each other’s property. We are going to do our best and the military and law enforcement agencies have been given a clear order that they shouldn’t spare any bandit or terrorist.
“We are going to hand over a secure country better than we inherited it.”
In other news, Reno Omokri claims that President Muhammadu Buhari’s visit to Zamfara State was canceled due to the savage bandits’ new activities.
The president, who was supposed to visit Zamfara State on Thursday, postponed his visit till next week.
The flight was canceled due to severe weather, according to Zamfara State Governor Bello Matawalle.
President Buhari had been scheduled to travel to Zamfara from Sokoto State, where he had commissioned various state-funded projects.
Reno, a former presidential aide, reacted by saying Buhari had canceled the trip because “bandits in Zamfara have Surface-to Air-Missiles”.
Reno said, “the report that General Buhari cancelled his trip to Zamfara because of bad weather is false.
“Buhari cancelled the trip because bandits in Zamfara have Surface-to Air-Missiles. Remember that on Sunday, July 18, 2021, they shot down an airforce jet in Zamfara!
“Buhari is now a victim of the kid-glove treatment he has been meting on bandits and herdsmen because they share ethnicity and religion with him.
“Compare the soft touch he gives them to the iron fist treatment he unleashed on IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu and Sunday Igboho.”
