Nollywood actor turned politician Desmond Elliot has come under a heavy backl ash on social media after he made a controversial remark about the regulation of social media in Nigeria.

Desmond Elliot has constructed a bridge in his constituency that has become an object of mockery on social media over the inexpensive cost of the bridge where he had erected a signboard to give credit to himself as the person who constructed the bridge. The bridge looks very narrow and hurriedly done with no architectural plan.
He re-constructed the Shitta-Oke Odo link bridge with some wood and metal to serve as a passage for residents in his constituency. Just one glance at the bridge would reveal the weak nature and the possibility to be washed away by some flood or deteriorate as a result of the decay of the wood.
