Yesterday, social media was buzzing after news surfaced that a man who posed as Dr. Kwame Owusu Fourdjour held an event and awarded some celebrities in Ghana, politicians, and other public figures in the country in the name of the United Nation and the Kofi Annan Foundation.
The event which awarded some honorable dignitaries in the political and entertainment sector for the accomplishments took place on the 28th of August 2020 and some of the people that were awarded include Ghana’s very own, Michael Owusu Addo, also known as Sarkodie, media personality Berla Mundi, the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party, Chairman Wontumi.
Yesterday, a Twitter user with the handle @elvinnick revealed that the supposed representative of the UN and the Kofi Annan Foundation is a fraudster and was even arrested some time ago for defrauding a bank. He further revealed that the UN has no hands in the award scheme neither is the supposed Kofi Annan Foundation.
Well, Ghanaians definitely did not forgive all those recipients of those awards as they troll them for receiving fake awards and also shamelessly taking photos with them to brag.
