Ghanaian movie producer, Socrates Sarfo has called on musicians not to focus only on the digital way of selling their music but also uses the traditional way which is the selling of CDs.
He explained that the traditional way has a bigger market than the digital stores which he believes those platforms are just to make money off from musicians.

He noted that they should compare how much they earn from about 100 People streaming their songs and also the amount they will make from sell ing their songs by using the traditional method.
Speaking in an interview on Happy Fm, the Director for Creative Arts at the National Commission on Culture in Ghana said that it’s a great misconception for musicians to say there are no customers for the traditional market.
According to him, consumers are still out there so musicians shouldn’t only spend time promoting and selling their songs on digital platforms.

He said that musicians don’t promote when they are using traditional media but will be seating there claiming there are no consumers when they sell the CDs.
