Barcelona forward, Sergio Agüero has tearfully announced his retirement from football.
Aguero’s threatening health scare injury started on October 30, when he had chest discomfort during Barca’s 1-1 draw with Alaves in La Liga.
The skipper was brought to the hospital for examinations and was eventually diagnosed with a heart arrhythmia, prompting speculation that he will retire from football.
The cardiac arrhythmia condition occurs when electrical impulses in the heart don’t work properly. There may be no symptoms.
Alternatively, symptoms may include a fluttering in the chest, chest pain, fainting, or dizziness.
If required, treatment includes anti-arrhythmic drugs, medical procedures, implantable devices, and surgery.
Aguero had to tearfully announce his resignation from the game due to his health complications.
Sports Journalist, Fabrizio Romano took to his twitter page to share the farewell Aguero has given to his fans around the globe following his early and unplanned retirement.
He wrote: Sergio Agüero announces in tears: “My health comes first. Medical staff have told me it’s best to stop playing and so I’m now leaving Barcelona and retiring from professional football”.
