Seven people were killed, many sustained severe injuries and houses burnt after armed bandits attacked Igabi, Giwa and Chikun LGA of Kaduna State.
According to Samuel Aruwan, the State Commissioner Internal Security and Homes Affairs who confirmed the incident on Thursday, March 11, the bandits shot periodically killing four resident after attacking Gangi village, Igabi LGA.
They killed Wada Sulaiman, Amiru Saidu, Yusha’u Mohammadu and Osama Abdulwahab. Ibrahim Jibrin and Abdulhamid Suleiman were the two others who sustained injuries. Houses and a car belonging to Mohammad Jibril, Salisu Ya’u, Idris Muhammad and Umaru Saleh was also raged with fire.
A similar incident happened in Marke village, Giwa LGA which led to the death of one Rabiu Haruna.
At Kuriga, Chikun LGA the armed bandits killed Ibrahim Yahu Birnin Gwari and Haruna Usman however Mansur Dada sustained gunshots injuries.
He added that the Governor expressed sadness of the reported incidents whiles sending condolences to the families of the deceased victims. He also wished the injuries victims a speedy recovery.
