Ace Ghanaian musician and Political Analyst, Kwame Asare Obeng, well known as A-Plus has stated that the two frontrunners in Ghana Dancehall music, Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy are bigger than the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards(VGMA’s).

The board of the VGMA recently lifted the indefinite ban that was placed on Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy in 2019 and allowed them to participate in the award scheme.
Stonebwoy who finds that to be a sign of disrespect took to Twitter to express his displeasure in the board for their failure to meet with their respective outfits before taking the decision.
He wrote; Dear VGMA Board & Scheme organisers,I hear the purpose of the VGMA is to celebrate and project Ghanaian musicians and music.If that is so, it takes nothing from you to meet with us the artistes/ our reps b4 reaching decisions that affect us and communicating them to the public.
In reaction to that, A-Plus sided with Stonebwoy by saying that the two artistes are the main attraction of the award scheme and they cannot do without them.
Speaking on the United Showbiz show, A-Plus said that the board will have to compensate the two artistes before lifting the ban.
