Self-acclaimed dancehall king, Shatta Wale has hinted that he is looking to compose and release a song inspired by the person and presidency of Nana Akufo-Addo. Shatta was speaking in an interview in promotion of his upcoming album.
The album is set to be launched on October 13, 2018. It is a 17-track album and it is the musician’s third studio project since coming back onto the scene after close to a decade out of work.
Reports indicate that in the interview Shatta Wale said he felt it was necessary for Ghanaian musicians to sing about happenings in the country.
The SM boss proved that his ability to touch on more issues than other artistes has already been on show for people to see.

He cited his 2016 song “Mahama Paper” as an example of him branching out of usual topics for Ghanaian music.
“People must talk about what is happening in the society and not always singing around love. People don’t want to promote us and that is what Shatta Wale has taken upon himself’, he said.
You will brag I got this I got that, for me, I will sing for the people. And that is culture. That is why I’m able to do a song like Mahama Paper. I want to do “Nana Paper” because Nana Paper has also come to be.”
There is no indication that the presidency will welcome this initiative although a chance at good publicity is unlikely to be turned down by politicians.
