Ghanaian music duo R2Bees in a recent interview has revealed how their performance with Shatta Wale opened their eyes to be business-minded in music.

The two have been tagged, non-serious Ghanaian musicians in by the Chief Executive Officer of Nhyira City Night Club and Money Go Flow Music, Nhyiraba Kojo.

According to the two, their show with Shatta Wale (known as Bandana back in the days) awakened their minds to take the music business serious.

The award-winning duo taking listeners back at the beginning of their career revealed they were paid 4 million Ghana Cedis for the group to perform to their hit single Yawa Girl in Cape Coast.

“I remember our first show was at Cape Coast and it was with Shatta Wale but then he was called Bandana and we were paid 4 million Ghana cedis,” PaeDae told Joy FM.

“That’s when we realized we had to take the music thing serious. “Yawa Girl” was hard but we decided to do more commercial songs,” he further added.
