Shatta Wale is always full of surprises and he showed the ‘real star’ in him when he and his supposed nemesis, Wizkid performed together at the 2018 edition of the Ghana Meets Naija Concert, dubbed Rescue Mission.
Prior to the event, there were speculations that Shatta Wale could perform at the prestigious event even though he wasn’t billed to perform on the night.
In fact, the rumours gained currency when Wizkid told reporters that he was willing to meet Shatta Wale upon touching down at the Kotoka International Airport.

When Wizkid’s name was announced by Nii Ayi Tagoe, the main DJ who doubled as the MC for the night, patrons greeted him with a very loud cheers.
But the loudest cheers belonged to Shatta Wale who was introduced on stage by the Nigerian musician midway through his performance.
A bit of shock and excitement mixed together and the atmosphere became chaotic, the result of which forced some fans to defy the tight security to rush on stage!
Shatta Wale and Wizkid exchanged pleasantries after which Wale performed charged the crowd with his trending song, Gringo.
Soon after that brief performance, he left the stage for the Nigerian superstar to continue with his act.
However, what we at ghgossip.com noticed is that, right after Wale’s performance, a lot of patrons from the standard and VIP section of the auditorium starting leaving, although Wizkid was still on stage performing.
This means Shatta Wale was their man of the night!
