This is not the first time the singer has taken swipe at the organizers of the prestigious award show that projects Ghanaian music and culture. His latest attack is based on the fact that the organizers banned him and fellow artiste, Stonebwoy 2 years ago following their misconduct at the show.

VGMA board released a statement to the public saying they have lifted the ban on the artistes and are free to join the award scheme or perform if they wish to. This decision and announcement didn’t sink in with Shatta Wale who publicly lambasted them for improper communication and documentation.

According to him, he and Stonebwoy should have been contacted and walked through the ban lifting before putting it out in the public domain. Stonebwoy concurred with Shatta Wale’s response in a tweet he made to the VGMA.
