If there’s one artiste who knows how to stay relevant by thriving on negativity, it’s definitely Shatta Wale. The Dancehall musician has had an awesome year with series hit of songs and good music videos to his credit.
But it’s obviously the controversies he courts that has seen him trending week after week. The most unforgettable one is the ‘Wizkid is not a superstar’ comment which invariably became a social media war between Ghanaians and Nigerians.
Undoubtedly that feud made him more popular in Nigeria as curious fans of Wizkid searched his songs online to judge if indeed he merits the status he mostly brandish. The matter seems to have waned but trust Shatta Wale to ‘wake sleeping dogs.’
He took to Twitter to wish his ‘Wizkid’ fans well during the festive season. He said, “Merry Christmas to all my @wizkidayo fans”. It however remains unclear if he’s been sarcastic or want to start a new ‘war.’
