Shatta Wale’s trending song Gringo has divided opinions all over social media. Whist the music video has generally received positive feedback, the lyrics have not impressed critics.
Touching on this subject, Stephen Anti, a broadcast journalist with TV3 has labeled the song as ’empty’; with no content whatsoever.
He posted on his Facebook wall thus:
I just want to say Gringo is lyrically empty.
Gringo is touted as the most expensive song Shatta Wale has ever done. The song is teken off his upcoming Reign album.
The music video was directed by world acclaimed video director, Sesan Ogunro, for Film Factory and produced by David Nguyen.
